Needing rest from debilitating rigors of life? I’m the clown at the abyss of your heart… offering mirth of blissful delight assuaging blood pressure-surge --- Ignore me not! When tormented with guilt wrecking your night I’m the clown at the abyss of your conscience… confounding you by my puzzling tricks aiding you against reality check--- Engage with me and be freed from distress! How about your fears robbing you of serenity’s engulfment while gripping your mind around nagging angst? I’m the clown at the abyss of your soul… see me in my super hero costume ready to thwart your miseries--- Face me and together we plunge into hope’s fantasy! Here am I, constantly calling for your attention while clothed with my allurements’ pomposity and enticing presence of favorable gain tempting, trying, testing your fortitude I’m the clown at the abyss of your faith… appraising your sinful nature, sowing skepticism seeds prevailing with your doubts, prayerlessness, unbelief--- --- Yet v a n q u i s h e d my deception unmasked by your trust* in the Sovereign God you live for! *Psalm 118:8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
