Perspective
Perspective We scream up at the heavens, lecturing God on what is fair When our lives took us one way, when we wanted to be there. We often look to our surroundings, comparing what we have When most of those just out of sight, most have less than half This fight was someone else’s, the pain should have been too How would we all answer, if not you, then who? Would we see it any differently if he came down from above? And showed us all his power and never-ending love Our eyes can only see so much, our senses much the same So much is learned in darkness but it’s not the endgame Take that box of pieces, shake them really well Scattered individually, the pictures impossible to tell But like our life experience, as two turn into four As we are connected, those fragments grow to more. Each piece has its own purpose its all part of a plan What exactly I don’t know, I’m also just a man This I know for certain, most of our limits are lies Ahead my look like a brick wall, but its paper thin from the skies Our feelings are our downfall, we believe them to be true Depression, lies and bitterness are meant only to anchor you Raise your eyes up just a little, start with just one rung As you climb a little higher, you’ll see the full reach of the sun
