The Birds Would Return, Someday
At the fringe of dark clouds of despair Beguiling dreams gleamed like the silver lining Created fluttering wings of birds of desire Driven by the squally winds through the rainbow arc Entered the realm of sunburst new horizon. Flock of these birds flew in en echelon pattern Glided across my mind, the lyrical design I discerned Hovered on the rhapsody of delight in the cerulean sky. I tried to seize them in folds of aspiration Just before they could fly away to domain unreachable with Kaleidoscopic panorama of my life in twilight Languishing for long in the winter mist of bleakness. Memory marooned in the middle of nowhere, trailed Nostalgic garden path flooded by sunshine stream Once cascaded in the valley of flower of my heart. Pensive vision of the nascent dawn ascending Quietly at the edge of my morose mind Reassured me the birds would return someday Sing the song of love I had lost in the alley of past To the sandstorm of tormenting time that surged Unabated across my jade meadow turned to wasteland Verging onto parched dunes of the forlorn desert Where I chased the mirage with my soul studded with Xenoliths of my broken heart Yearning to reach the oasis of your embrace, floating on Zephyr of longing, saturated with stardust passion.
