Pardon Me
In the stillness of the sea, I walk by the shore Sound of wave comforting, promises more But water can be unfriendly at the peak the tide Dusk is impatiently glancing and so I must hide Alone, I called out your name over and over My voice pleads of forgiveness to this sinner With trembling body I flee from the water It's here, the familiar sound screaming! Slapped to my face are giant waves of guilt! Standing still, I hold on to my breathe I discern another one blow is coming To sanity I beg to save me from drowning When darkness engulfed the fading light Appeared to me are sharp accusing eyes Memories hanging in the wind began to fall Stinging, avenging, wanting me to crawl! Then there was silent in every side of the hill My lame body quivered, enfolded by the chill Escape is at hand, I grasped where I stood Before another wave of remorse gone bold. From this labyrinth I live I wanted to flee Set me free, pardon - be unto me.
