Red Rover
Red Rover You know the rules. You had your chance. You lost. Now… My turn. I will tell her the sky dims when she smiles, As her beam is bright, and lights up not only my life, but the world. God knows my heart, and knows exactly what I mean. She… is the help mate I have prayed for… No, she can not cook. You told me. No, she can not sew, who cares. No, the clothes are not all washed, or picked up, but her children laugh, she sings and I think you are stupid. The golden voice at church, lifted to heaven, An angel… has fallen… but please… let her stay… a while. I want to know what it is like to have some one. Some one that talks about me, like she does you. Some one to touch my shoulder as I walk by, Wait for my hand, to get out of the car, step with me upon the dance floor, and be mine forever. You really are less than smart. “Send my forever love write over” (a little kid smiles, a great game taught early)
