Must have been a mile away, So the eye could just see, Moving slowly with swing and sway, I knew it was coming towards me. Tall I looked in my stance, Standing lonely by the way, Only emptiness to glance, As I looked around my stay. Vast deserted land on either side, Trees,shrubs, and rising hot air, No place to try and seek a hide, But come this far, should one care? The dot grew larger as I stood, But still too hazy to comment, Too early to judge, bad or good, No moment to rejoice, to lament.
