Windfall of Blessing Thanks
Came November, it was time to visit USA, where my daughter and her family stay, to be with them to celebrate the special day when autumn’s footfall came softly all the way. When gentle wind whistled through the trees, colors burst to flames through their canopy, amber leaves whispered in rustle of rhyme, reminding us it was the Thanksgiving time. Moonbeam drenched the silk sky in a flush, sprayed silver dust through the window glass. The panes lined with candles displayed dazzling art, lighting the sparks of joy in our heart. Room filled with the smell of roasted turkey, mixed with flavor of sizzling potato and apple pie, crystal glasses full to the brim with Bordeaux wine, allured us to be together in the special night to dine. As I see in the twilight hour the day’s glitter wane, I travel to that night down the memory lane, feel grateful for the treat as God’s blessing windfall, and thank Him for it was He who I know gave it all.
