Silent Dawn, Streets of Calm
Her morning silence brings me peace & soothes me as I breathe, To embrace her beauty, drops me to my knees. It's the calm I feel, the appreciation that's instilled. This is why in my city, I believe... To walk her as I do, be able to see her each new moon gives me pleasure & keeps me in tune. Feeling the brisk coolness on your face as it's coming in from the ocean breeze. To see the beach at dawn & the sun as it sets in to the sea, This is what makes me, me. The 4 corner stone walled, mountain tops & millions of looking glass eyes which, cover all four sides go scaling up into Heaven, way up into the sky. To view Los Angeles from a far, sit looking up at stars, watching as they come falling from the skies. It's some what sad to see & just as hard to watch as this city comes to life. Never the less, it's in her nature & can't be changed, to go from darkness into daylight. If all I'll ever know is the concrete that holds her all together & the asphalt streets I've, walked forever. Then I'm glad to say, I was born here in beautiful East L.A... I could walk these streets, feel her breeze, she's all I'll ever need. The City of Angels is where I live, I couldn't leave her ever!!!!
