Do You Hear What I Hear
Do you hear what I hear Getting ready for the holidays, I brought out some Christmas music. Nothing fancy, just the usual songs from the original artists. Bing Crosby, Irving Berlin etc. not to forget jingle bells…. the old stockings still had some life left to them, so they got hung up the string of bulbs had to be tossed due to faulty circuits. Decided also to toss out the paper ornaments since they were parched! I put a disc in my CD player and waited for the music. could hardly hear anything, perhaps a cleaning of the mechanisms was needed. still the same problem after cleaning so I tried my portable cd player. that too was bad. Maybe it was my hearing. I went to the hearing doctor for testing. and you know all of those various sounds, left and right ears…… The doctor said that I should try putting pepper under my nose so that I would sneeze and that could open up my ear drums. so that I did and then drums rolled and the fireworks popped. I put in my favorite cd and nothing was heard. Oh my gosh, what happened, I brought the cd and player with me to the doctor. I told him what happened after I used the pepper. Then I put in the CD and cranked up the volume. He stopped the player and took out the cd and said no wonder, you can’t hear, you are playing ‘silent night’
