A Song For Grandma
I went to visit Grandpa at the Old Folks Home. I found him in his room all alone, He was strumming his guitarthe way he Use to do. Singing a song for Grandma, that made me feel so blue. He said I miss your style, I miss your smile. I miss the things we used to do. I miss holding your hand, being your man, But most of all Grandma I miss you. He didn’t hear me speak, a tear rolled down his cheek, I could tell he really wasn’t there. He was looking at her picture, his mind was far away, he kissed it and then I heard him say. I miss your style, I miss your smile, I miss the things we used to do. I miss holding your hand, being your man, But most of all Grandma I miss you. I had to walk away, I didn’t know what to say, I could see that he was hurting too. Grandma passed away a year ago today, and I cried when I heard my Grandpa say. I miss your style, I miss your smile, I miss the things we used to do. I miss holding your hand, being your man, but most of all Grandma I miss you. >> I paint pictures with words. calbambi@gmail.com
