A Present Tense
The sky's are filled with winds of rain. That fill my eye's with stains of pain. And leave my soul soaked to the bone. As I pretend I'm not alone. Somewhere in life so long ago. I learned something I'll never know. The reason why some hearts are lost. And true love in the trash gets tossed. The story's told so many ways. Of who's at fault and which side pays. Sometime's it just does not make sense. And leaves us with a present tense. In courts of judgement in the press. We find that it's any one's guess. Who gets to stay, who has to leave. Who gets to live, who has to grieve. Maybe's the question no one knows. Conclusion says that's how it goes. But one side wins and one side loses. And leaves us wondering just who chooses. Note: This is about how I felt about the county dictating my life to me. But like I said earlier, in hindsight for the most part. This episode in my life was a necessary intervention. And I am grateful for it in the end. <3
