Another Pining Poem
I went walking and I wondered. If her heart like mine had thundered. As I got near she couldn't speak. And as I stood my knees got weak. Every day I hope and pray. That she will come and want to stay. And let me know she wants me too. And take my heart and make it new. It's hard to navigate sometimes. To find your way with simple rhymes. The words in pen begin to flow. But when she's near, I just don't know. Deep in my dreams the answer lies. But when I wake the answer dies. Another day wondering alone. It seems that's all this heart has known. I wait in trust and faith above. That she will one day be my love. And want to be here in my arms. And soothe me with her gentle charms. Note: This is about a girl I pined for for 35 yrs. Yeah, I know, what? :) But a year or so ago someone else came into my life and replaced that emptiness and pain in my heart. But now her and I are on the outs. So life goes on. :/ ?
