Arm In Arm
I’m looking for equilibrium, between my head and my heart Let my vision clear before my desires to see you burst In my brief visit home, I want less time apart from the start Filling up my days means spending time with you first Our meetings together to be savored and tasted in full No time to dawdle as I’d rather you be with me near My longing to see your pretty face is loves’ gentle pull Get to know your heart as well as how dear you appear You gaze back at me, a bit of melancholy in your gay charm Talking and laughing together like in all your childhood years It’s so good to know we can still fit happily arm in arm And we’re healing from all our fears and angry tears These little bits fill my heart, so much to share before good-byes Our precious time together, too soon away it flies
