Death of Independence Day
The nation of independence with claims of peace succumbs to the boast of the tyrant, with a parade of destruction's tools. Equipment used to smash, obliterate and snuff out life with civilian collateral damage no one will discuss or even acknowledge, are worshiped. Tanks, jets and military might flashed and flaunted before the world, as if this is what makes a nation great. A day reserved to celebrate the concept of freedom, not only in one country, but everywhere has been corrupted to emphasize tyranny, with equipment used to protect "American Interests," by force and intimidation, in a nation where freedom used to be its raison d’être. July 4 is no longer Independence Day, representing a new idea called democracy, intended to replace tyranny. July 4 is now just another weapon flashed as a threat for the world to recognize, fear and honor.
