Slave To Love
Slave to love He held me close in his arms as he uttered the words “I love you” Something which should have gone with the dark ages He uttered words in the dark making me fall victim to noticing the movement of his lips word by word His hands so tight and dark as the dark ages of slavery days to this love he served on my table I fell victim to being enslaved in love To this view nothing was ever as beautiful as witnessing myself fall deep in love with his black dark skin My view of him gave me chills with Goosebumps A description of what felt between easy and hard to find in expressions With this love I found myself in moments where my soul was sold to the devil Gifting myself death and selling away my soul to the love that was served on my table I could testify to me falling in love, but never will I ever testify to me being dead by my own poison with this love that was served on my table I fell victim to being enslaved in love Poet Masego Nkuna
