Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required Selfish By Lola B Maybe i’ll never see who i pretend to be In memories I perceive a victim of fateful dreams A call for arms in the early morning dawn Alone to face the Echoes of times I knew I was wrong The piercing light is bending around the metal frames above Monuments of divison trying in vain to win this pointless game I stand apart, yet still I do the ing same thing Conquests of progress; these selfish words I sing To own these warm rays of bitter summer sunlight To know that no one loves without this winless fight Cause who am I to judge these tortured souls without wings When I still cannot accept myself without the constant suffering? The evil I see are the same demons in my dreams I see; the killer in me is the killer in you With every selfish thought; the spoken words are never new I find that i’ll never be pure; and love is never clean
