Cry Not Heart
Cry not, my heart, Lamented I to it, As I held it tenderly in between The palms of my hands! Cry not, stop your bloody tears And open to me The secret hideaway that leads To soothe and fulfilment! Why would you cry When the existence that you lead Is founded on uncertainty? Why would you cry When the life that your body carries Is meant to be extinguished someday, Leaving not even a shadow Of smoke Dancing lazily in the air? Pray, heart, bloom, rather, Bloom into a garden A haven for fairies to enjoy their laziness A romance for youth to indulge in A tune for believers to engulf themselves in A pillow for the tired to rest on A cup of coffee for the stressed to sip on A kiss for those who yearn of it to drown in A bed for lovers to burn in An eternal realm for seekers to dwell in A garden, heart, A garden, that would easily daze The human gaze! Cry not my heart, The tides ebb away So shall the throbs The nails shall be hammered in And you shall quiver no more The body shall turn into ash And then, Heart, Trust me, You shall feel no more! Cry not, Cry no more, Smile And laugh With your own inner heart So that it may be reflected in the shine Of your tear spilled eyes!
