He begs for alms With his open palms . Sometimes he will be obliged , with a happy feeling , he will be budged . People scowl at him and glare , None thinks of his welfare . His sorrows no one share , He has a small piece of cloth to wear , Which is big enough for him to cover his body bare. He has to die with his ailments , Because he can't afford to pay for his medical treatments . When he dies , no one is bothered about his funeral , No one makes him a sepulcher , Because he is a pauper Hence he is a beggar . Life for him is woe , Hope is dumb.
