The Small Things
There are many things in life to enjoy, But none are as spectacular as they seem. For me, the best things are small, Not grandeur, not from a fantastical dream. I love the sun, and how it shines on me as I sip a homemade coffee brew. How when my to-do list is complete, I can sigh relief and start anew. The way my love holds my hand, as we walk side-by-side, the ways in which in my family I can confide. The soft fur of my little dog, The writing spaces, like my blog. You see, these things aren't so big and grand. But you don't have to look very far, to find something that makes life sweet and special, A stroll, a good snack, your toes in warm sand. It's the small things, the every day things, that I look forward to, that life brings. Life is only dull if you allow it to be dull.
