Tomorrow
The essence of silence, Come to take over a mind. Damning thoughts of violence, When there’s tragedy to find. I offer everything to you. I offer my hand to a drowning soul. Patience is a virtue, But it’s tearing a hole. Heavy eyelids think implausible fears, Broken hands wipe away poisonous tears. I’ve watched on the sideline, I’ve played in the game. They’ve taken what was mine, And left me with no name. Could I hear your breathless whisper, Calling for a love to return? A biting wind that’s crisper, Than the longing to yearn. With a heavy heart, We must bid our goodbyes, But when does the healing start, Long after your love dies? I’ve want nothing else but to be happy. But I can only write about feelings so sappy. I’m tired now, I’m wanting to sleep. A chance to be alive in a dream that’s too deep. Just take it from me, and leave me in sorrow. Could I make you see, I don’t want a tomorrow.
