Life Is a Merry Go Round
lying in the stroller waiting for a push then we go round the mulberry bush saddling up the rocking horse getting our jeans all dirty of course! day one on the bus going to school Provokingly they may slap me the rule making the grade to step up to the plate falling in love with a lovely mate. in lovers lane after the prom off to college living in a dorm Studying till three is often the case no way to ease up this pace. graduation is just weeks ahead will life then be a flower bed? sprouting family and kids at camp bills to pay and more cents for a stamp loved my job, made vice president now living in a place for a senior resident. Medicare sends me the amounts they paid doctors crying about what they made have a list of ailments in my ripe old age wonder what’s left in my old time gauge rest home or care takers will definitely be needed it’s been a long life, now the road is bumpy I conceded walks in the garden with cane at my side Reminiscing my joys that gave me pride no agility getting into my wheelchair I wheeze and groan and almost out of air now starring back at the mulberry bush I feel I’m back in the stroller waiting for a push. Ah yes….. life is a merry go round
