Suddenly Swans
From the branches lifts a song of violins and resonances. Voices from the wind are wailing fair lyrics of flora. Sparrows whistling so truly amongst the mocking birds. Though what sonnet is said from down below? Orchestra of fauna. Flamingo re me fa so la ti do. Spiraling down a path of notes nature has written. Bring forth the vultures of who once sought vanity. May they circle a sky dance below the clouded floor. Black are the crows and ravens inside the arms of oak. Wring out the finches from the swallow’s pride. May they sing of glorious stride. So said the leaves of the trees. Tell the wrens to strip apart the weepings of willows. Grow the moss upon their bark. And hear them cry no more! Thus, suddenly there were swans! They danced of white,of warmth,of ice. But soon the sun had left them so. And then the all was soon no more.
