A lonely futile walk on the sagging rope, balancing the aching legs, the toil unseen. Time present stretched to the endless limit reaches the frayed edge of void perception. Future snaps the threads of the inert puppet dancer, on the dark stage listless life petrifies in desolation. Small footsteps extend beyond measures of real time, in sands of scorched landscape their prints disappear. Destination recedes to deep horizon like mirage, veiled vision searches the oasis never reached. In the obscure thicket senile senses lose the fading track, the marooned mind is entangled in the maze of shadows that lengthens in twilight hour as the lone sun sets, dusk falls with pall of gloom wrapping me in ennui. The jester has disappeared from the circus arena, can anyone bring on the dancing bears. March 29, 2019
