Things that make me breathless.... The musical prowess of an innocent twelve-year-old who Has no idea, she is bringing tears to my eyes A tribute written in honor of me, called AKG For Awesome Kid Grandma, Written by Molly, my nine-year-old Granddaughter, Things that make me breathless... My grandson announcing that he is "home" When he comes into my house, and takes off his shoes and socks My other grandson holding my face, and saying "look at me," Not letting anyone else look at me or talk to me, Treating me like his own personal toy Things that make me breathless... Friends who say wonderful things about my art Friends who give me a hug Friends who adore me and meet me at a moment's Notice when I really need a friend Things that make me breathless... Children at my job who tell me I am the only one who cares About them, surprising me, for I may not even know their name, There are so many of them, and only one of me. Things that make me breathless... A look my husband gives me, which takes me Back fifty years making me feel sixteen-years old again.
