One Last Goodbye
Do you hear it The kettle hisses, without a hinder Takes me back to when you's would whisper You were my fox and you my man Explain why you ran away with the woman As if her heart was hard like concrete There relationship used to be so sweet As if I'd believe a wolf would maul a swan And now Daddy is gone Daddy would never hit mom But her poppy shapped bruises said different Their relationship labelled a ticking time bomb Usually lovers see each other's as equivalents Back to the kitchen, quoted now Am I here to confess one last vow My problems the world knows not Seemingly sewed into a vile monster What was the point in one last shot And now I'm stuck here in yonder Older now, going out in the tractor Searching for some of the so called human factor The grass dancing, waving goodbye The foxes stopped attentively awaiting a reply?
