Assured by God to delight in His perpetual love He vividly expressed in the Scriptures And unceasingly reverberated by Jeremiah 31:3 “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee;” I seek Him worshipfully in His solace Midst disquietude of carnality, threatening my spirit So I can invite others to bask with no hesitation In the effervescence of His compassion. Thus, brewing in the fervidness of the Lord’s charity, I yield myself to His reviving grace Blessed to serve Him with reverence. As His faithful steward sealed with His loving kindness May I testify that I love God* with all my heart; And I’m striving to love others as myself… all by His gracious love. *Luke 10:27 “…Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.” February 16, 2019 1st place, "A BRIAN STRAND VERSE FREED" Poetry Writing Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand; judged on 3/2/2022.
