That Was Then, This Is Now
Roses felt rosier and Jasmine more fragrant As tender winds breezed caressing our aura Inducing sweet emotions in voices of passion When eloquently we spoke language of love Hosting conversation of charming sensations. Climbing up high, touching contours of sky A new dawn gladly smiled on our horizon Uplifting golden sun in jubilance of autumn Spreading amber tinges on orange elation Teasing us with vignettes of doting affection. Happily we discovered blushing inspirations Igniting the flames of our cherished wants As we held hands on pristine river banks Undulating in meadows of resplendent vistas Yearning to decipher the song in our heart. Life then altered the meaning of our resolve As we grew apart, forgetting idyllic vows In sensuous aspirations of brand new starts. How quickly love changed as time evolved--- Neither the same you are, nor am I who I was.
