A Tale of a Reporter and Demons
A wicked demon lives within these walls In the darkness bats hang upside down, their feet curl their tails in balls A wicked demon lives within these walls It had but one ear an old tale claims the other is kept for decor as a knocker for the front door, for decor iron gates are believed to keep all out truth became known by those who would shout, they were to keep all in, not let all out Screams were known to be heard through the eves they were heard through the reeves they cried through the breeze, screams were known to be heard through the eves through the eves A skinny young boy swung on a swing so happy he swung the boy was so young the next day he swung but not on the swing he swung from a rope hung from the tree he just was eleven Now he's in heaven Footsteps heard, a black shadow is seen just like a movie yet there is no screen the shadow angers when it meets my eyes In the news it’s here where many have died A window slamms by the door in the attic pound beets my heart pound I panic I’m being drawn, drawn to the attic I can’t stop, I’ve started to panic I must escape run fast Make this my past I’m being held back against my will I hear the shadows chanting kill Here a story must be told forgotton souls a dark hole It must be that setting them free is just up to me bats crawl demons live within all walls
