Ole Tom Willy
Ole Tom Willy I’ll tell ya ‘bout ole Tom Willy; he never had a dime, Some people thought he was silly, but he surely could rhyme . He was an ugly ole fella, but he meant no harm. His teeth was all yella, and he lived in a barn. Well in strutted Susie: she had a reputation. as a flirt and a flouzie, she was his inspiration. Well Willie made her up a poem. She never saw it comin’. It got her feelins flowin’, and things started ta hummin’. He got down on one knee and asked her for her hand, She yelled out,” Yessir!”and hepped him back up ta stand. She donned her best gown; ‘twas a new burlap bag. cause she was kinda round, but it still had the tag! Upon seein’ the preacher, their vows went smooth and soft. Now they live fine together in Willie’s ole hay loft. The moral of the story, if’n there ever was one, but there ain’t so I’m sorry, but it’s surely been fun.
