Beset with loneliness on Christmas times Missing complete family-bonding midst carol-chimes I long for joyous Christmas I had as a child… more than gifts of precious dimes Celebrating with praises for the Saviour and Emmanuel* hymn-rhymes. Having experienced forlorn… being away… during Christmas season Wrapped with grief of being alone, gripped by self-pity’s reason I strive to rejoice in the Lord Who blesses my life with pardon-bliss’ lesson Trusting Him to help me combat torturous solitude’s poison.
