''Does the Eagle Plan It's Day''
My past has been a twisted, tangled path of sadness, and I have tried, I really have to leave all the pain behind; I have said my goodbyes to all those I love, I have turned away, pressed a kiss on their engraved names and left only a tear; but the past keeps pulling me back and each time I fight it, I really do. But my present is a struggle to break the chain of sorrow, that chain that seems to just grow thicker each long year; I wear a mask of happiness, oh yes I do, and do things expected, I go to my dance class and pour my emotions into each move; I write words dripping blood, no one would guess how fragile my soul is. And my future is empty, I see nothing, there seems no path, for I am chained and chained with padlocks old and rusty; oh, will I meet a man to love, I hope so, will I publish my poetry, will I be an old lady, will the sadness in my eyes go away; so I live each day in the moment, and do not look to far into my future.
