'i Was the Last One'
I was the last one to ever see you- Say goodbye, or even I love you to. You were the last one I ever trusted, eight years later my soul still rusted. My eyes still red, your life combusted. I was the last to see your awful pain- Now only heartbroken memories remain. You were the last one to believe in me, see things in me only a sister could see. Now I’m still caged and you are free. O, how could I forget that bad October? You never really were completely sober. November came and the chill set in. Feeling the anguish hidden deep within. Dying was your life’s last greatest sin. I was the last one to hear you laugh- The sound too hard to paragraph. You were the last to see me through, for love is rare and so were you. What on earth have you put me through… I was the last one to write of your ways- All these metaphors expressing your days. You were the last to write a farewell letter. Too many syllables to make me feel better. I was the last to wear your grey sweater. O, how could I forget that terrible December? It’s too much anguish for me to remember. The end was quick for you but not for me, you were too blind for all your damn debris. I was the last one who could actually see… how caged you were, now you are free. The Last...
