The Wind That Blew
I feel asleep On the wind It took me to places High and lofty Amongst the clouds And cool high air Where water is but Droplets of mist I touched the stars And kissed the moon Shook the hand of Mr Gray in his tin can It blew me past the station So I knocked to say “Hello” But no one answered Which was strange As all the lights were on On it pushed me I waved at Major Tom But I don’t think he heard me Gave Hal the stink eye Than got hit by a car Like a bug on a Tesla windscreen Driven by a shell of a spaceman Listening to Mysterious Universe On its stereo Pushed on again I grabbed hold a boat In it sat An Owl and a Pussycat With an oversized nose ring What a strange sight it was Flung into the wind again I was spat at by Alien Who wanted to use me For a surrogate Thought better of this So pushed it toward Hal Wow What a Close Encounter I drifted on without A care Above a beautiful Blue orb I thought I caught sight Of a Turtle behind it But put it down to a mirage The wind that blew Must of blew itself out As I drifted down To a Silent World That blue Blue orb Past wafting clouds Or was it Swamp Gas Gently as a deflating Weather balloon I feel back into The seat I fell asleep in I woke with such Emotion from this journey That it all must have been real Or was it all But a dream To be fair and true Such as life is And the wind that blew
