Rudy, that prima donna, relaxed in his stall, well out of sight, Preening and shining his nose, preparing to lead tonight's flight. 'Twas well-known that Rudy was Santa's pet of all the reindeer, Since he was seen by the others schmoozing with Santa all thro' the year. Hence, he was known as Rudolph the Brown Noser by his envious peers, Instead of Rudolph the Red Noser which was time-honored in past years. Since early July the sprites had worked overtime out-doing themselves; Alas, Santa's sleigh sat idle full of goodies loaded by hard-driven elves. The cantankerous deer allowed there was no settlement yet near, So said Santa, "Get this show on the road! Rudy will lead the herd this year!"
