A Crickets Choir
As I lie and I listen To the crickets legs twisting They play loud, a long song Throughout night to dawn Like a choir on key They sing loud just for me Their tunes hum, through my head While I’m sleeping, in my bed When I twist and I turn Their tunes by heart, I’ve now learned Their tunes echo from the rear Causing tingling, through my ears Not a switch to turn them off Sometimes annoying like a cough The crickets choir, plays tranquil melodies Peaceful soothing night time remedies Their choir music, puts me at ease From my window, I call out, I ask please Sing crickets, twist your legs Twist them fast, twist them slow Perform for me, a well rehearsed show All cricket members begin to play So I may sleep my night away
