Battle Scars
Im covered in scars from head to toe Scars of mentally and emotionally battles Of my everyday life Yet why don't I talk about these battle scars? Every time I was needed for help I was there, Even if I was the last option on their supporters Or the fact that no one wasn't willing to help The kindness I gave spread like a wimple in the pond And how I was there more than others had becoming me an older brother to them all How many you ask? Over 200 individuals and still growing in numbers. Yet, when I'm needed and destroyed mentally and emotionally, Only a handful of them been there for me and Gained enough knowledge About how I’m trying to make it through Day by night and fighting in this Never-ending battle Days of thoughts of suicide scarred my heart Nights of dried tears of depression scarred my soul Why am I still here suffering in pain But smiling at the people whom I helped? Its caused that I don't want to let them down And try to survive the next day Because everyday and every night All that is left on me Is mental and emotional battle scars
