Letting Go
i lay this down at your feet, i lay this down to rest, for i know, dear lord, the reasons unknown are meant only for my best, who can fathom your understanding, or reach out to touch the stars, and i know the impossible sits in your hands, your boundaries are never to far, who am i to walk too far ahead, or sit back and lagger behind, all i need is to hold your hand, and walk right by your side, the things i so desperately want in my life, may not be your plans for me, and even still you know the secret desires of my heart, and you'll choose what's meant to be, in the meantime, i'll press into your love for me, and concentrate on my friendship with you, and whatever battles come my way, i know you'll take me through, you'll give meaning and purpose in every answer that you reveal to me what hurts right now, i'll later understand, my eyes will one day see.
