Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required I stand here, in the middle of vast earth, A vast earth which remains, nevertheless, So mysterious and so insignificant in the universe, A vast earth, though, which keeps thrusting upon me, All of its calamities and its vagaries, Aiming to have me crumble into a mass of despair and gloom, As, I must surely have deserved my fall into its womb! I stand here, keeping my focus bent on pleasing it As its soul did whisper to my soul The direction towards which I am to head But, like tiny dreadful insects, the agents of doubt Prick at me from all sides, bidding me to wish I had, in me, That which I left behind as I undertook my fall; Magic, yes, magic, flowing in between my many folds, Magic, which would have allowed me to enact life As I would have willed it to be! Why, I stand here, with my palms placed over my heart, With my eyes closed, and with my breath, halting, Pray, should it happen that things don't turn out as The soul of earth wishes, pray, shall it lash out its anger?
