Bitter Kiss
The bitter kiss Forgive me please ahead of time But I must write just one more rhyme I gave my husband my whole heart and left for just awhile But he was set on fantasy of a 20 something’s smile Thus he left behind integrity, to surf the internet beast And found a slew of young beauty’s upon which his eyes could feast Then after it was over, satisfied, he walked away Not thinking for a moment, the price we’d both have to pay Of bringing forth rejection to his wife whose heart is true And creating an atmosphere for wounds and scars to brew Now humiliation is her covering as she desperately tries to heal Yet her thoughts turn deeply inward to the fact that she IS real She can’t compete with fantasies of boob and butt and thigh Particularly as she is 53 and they are only 18 to 25 How do I heal, she asks herself, and what can I do about this? She cries and prays and cries some more and then greets him with a kiss
