Dedicate Your Life To Company B
Company B. used to be full of responsible people who knew their work, and did it. These six devout employees had put all of their energy into Company B. They had lost their families, and their friends, so devoted were they to Company B. The only thing they retained after years and years of loyal service was a headache, an Outstanding work ethic, a smartness about being in restaurants and movie theaters by themselves, And a determination to prove that this sacrificing of self was all worth it, by spouting wonderful Glowing reports about how wonderful Company B was, and how important their work was to Company B. Company B was sold off in a flurry, to an unsuspecting buyer, on a Saturday night. He was not as enamored as he should have been with the dinosaurs who had sacrificed their Real lives for their Company B. lives. As a matter of fact, he started out On Monday sacking Chet, a man who Had not missed a day of work in forty-six Years. This did not endear him to the other six Loyal employees. We are being down-sized, one said. It was Jake, a man, who had not seen his children On a holiday for twenty-six years, because he had Always been too devoted to Company B to be of Any use to them and now they did not want him Around, so he killed his time by being loyal to Company B. He was the next to go. We are being dumb-sized, Mable announced. She went out on a Tuesday, leaving all of her Personal items behind, as she had let her Lease expire years ago since she was never home anyway.
