Full Speed Ahead
He knew his purpose from the beginning, of which he had a very high regard. There was a King named Jehu who asked a question at the start of his rule. There had been a very wicked queen named Jezebel who had trained prophets from her wicked school. He asked, "Why do you ask for peace with your month when war is in your hearts?" He told them that there would be no peace until Jezebel was dead. He went on to say that the blood of their kind had been wicked from the start, and he informed them that they would not share in his domain in any way or part. He was determined to destroy a family that was ruthless, unmerciful, and wickedly hard. No, Jehu clearly understood that his rulership was not about looking for revenge. But yes, it was about the honor of God and bringing the reign of terror to an end. He wanted to let it be known in his domain that this was about a reckoning, about redeeming, about restoring, about reviving, about divine reasoning. His purpose was about making matters right, putting away the evil, and about putting to death the human embodiment of the devil. 09182018PoSoupContest, Unsheath Your Sword, John Lawless King Jehu, 2 Kings 9 & 10
