Into the Wind
I stand in the darkness, looking at the stars How could you do this, you broke my heart The wind blows heavily, into my face As the silence seeps in, and takes your place I'm trying to find a way, to say goodbye But it seems the only thing, I can do is cry What we had was special, real and true But none of that matters, if I don't have you So I'll toss these memories, into the wind And I'll stop thinking, about what should have been I'll dry these tears, upon my face And I'll let the loneliness, take your place But don't think for a second, that I never loved you Don't think for a second, that it wasn't true I'll always be loving you, deep inside I'll always be caring, that I won't hide But the wind is blowing you, slowly away And this pain will get easier, each new day
