I Feel Like Mike Tyson
Once the smoke clears I'll overcome the burns The grass isn't always greener, the sky is sometimes grey and dark instead of blue Sometimes you need to take a step back to really see what's ahead of you I feel like Mike Tyson on fight night because I'm ready to take on the world I've had the world on my shoulders for a while and it's been heavy But I've got my boxing gloves on now and I'm ready I'm getting back up and battling back Everyone gets knocked down, but warriors and champions always find a way to last Every mistake is a lesson don't disregard the signs I believe love is real, just hard to find Or maybe we're so blinded by past pains we refuse to admit we see it I can't be the person who gives up on a jigsaw, I'll find the missing pieces Depression is real, but the thoughts it makes you feel shouldn't be I'll win this fight even if it means I have to get blood on me I won't lie the fight with Depression is the toughest battle I've been in I'd rather stand alone and have to go against ten men I'm still scarred by some of the thoughts it put into my head I attacked depression with a knife once, but it was me who bled I think about things that make me smile when it tries to take me to scary places I have to find some inner strength on the days where I can barely face it I used to say sorry, but never again will I apologise for being emotional or saying how I feel I'll let my scars bleed until I find a way to heal I've grown because of all the stepping stones that I stood on Depression doesn't stand a chance now I've put my boxing gloves on
