The Haunted House
It was located close to my house. They said that it was an abandoned place but I didn't see it the same way. It started to act when the darkness beat the light. Repeatedly I heard eerie noises; Sometimes someone would run; Sometimes someone would cry. Cats' meow, and shutting of doors were turning me insane. One night as I opened my window; I scared to death. The house's windows were closed But I could see a shadow - a shadow of a witch. Her claws were long and her hairs were ugly. She was strolling slowly, I could see her shadow passing from one window to the other. A week later three boys disappeared out of the blue People searched all the places but didn't find any clue. I felt very bad for them. Since then things got more worse; I began to hear screams and crazy laughs. I learnt that the voices are of boys. Gathering my strength I opened my window again, And a chill ran down my spine. I saw them - I saw the three boys' shadows; behind the window's glass. All were looking directly at me. I hurriedly closed my window. Next morning, I thought they were alive; So, I went to the house to investigate. As I pushed the door, I felt a gush of cold breeze. I moved forth and saw the three boys' corpses were hanging with a fan. My heart started to rattle, I screamed horribly and ran away. Next day I heard a knock on my door. I opened the door and there was no one. Suddenly my eye caught an envelope laying down on the steps. I picked it up and took out a white paper from it. I unfolded it and then I began to shake - It was written in blood - "I'm coming for you tonight." ____________________________________________ Date - 20/8/2018 Contest - The Haunted House (Scare me or make me laugh) Poetry Contest Sponsor - Dear Heart a.k.a Broken Wings
