It carved a direction of glittered flares, As I danced and murmured a hint of mystique. I was not human, nor kindred soul, But just a mere shadow of all the hearts gone wrong. I was not myself for who would I be? For to be a symbol of something, I must be it all! No blooming flowers or glimmering sun, Just obscurity of vision for my heart to feel low. For I could have done no right or no wrong, From step to step, no morality did I own. It’s nights like those that I felt so at home, For the emptiness of sorrow doesn’t sit still.
