The End of Contentedness
Why did you send her? Was she some sort of test? As visions of her dance through my head A silent scream erupts from my chest I had life figured out I thought I understood I was content Everything was good Now that I know of her Her absence is pure hell Now that I know true happiness Without her I will never be well It shouldn’t have happened But we both decided this was true love When I look at you It’s as if you were sent from the heavens above God took the blueprint Straight from my head You showed me heaven When “I Love You” you said Your eyes tore through me Looked straight into my heart I knew I loved you From the very start You told me too You said you knew I was the one Life is too short We should not be done In order to be together We must in inflict pain Will others sorrow Be worth our gain We decided To be noble was the way to go What lurks behind these sad eyes? Only she will know I’ve known the heaven Of true love under the dark night sky Now I know the hell Of helplessly watching the same love die
