Stuffing down their Easter sweeties, with not a thought of diabetes. It’s doubtful they’d know what is meant, by shrove or ash or even lent. In times gone by a season when, we’d fast and life renews again. But the day has altered connotations, hijacked by Hallmark and the big corporations.
