Denial
I've got to start somewhere before I lose my mind, Repeating myself I can't unwind. The damage you're doing, You're sick in the head. Not like an illness that keeps you in bed, but the sort where you loose it And think no-one knows, So you keep on denying that you need help and instead, Drag us all down to the depths of despair. You've abandoned your family, left us alone, You think you're still with us, but your soul has now gone. Tears down my cheek I feel like a freak, With nobody to turn to and say that I'm scared of your drinking, your temper, your mood, Effecting the family, your life and ours too, when You spend all our money on gambling and booze. Ashamed is the band that I wear on my arm, It's blackening my heart with the thoughts of self harm. But you're blind and can't see what you've done to us all, While we wait here to catch you, the moment you fall. Remember, you’ve abandoned your family, left us alone. One day we’ll be gone and so will your home. 12th July 2018
