Hold Me In Your Arms Like You Did Before
You’re my world, for you are everything to me. When I awaken, Darling, do you know how long I sometimes wait that I might see your eyes come open? How they used to glow with love for me! But I’ve been noticing these days and nights that something in your eyes is missing, and I keep remembering the way you onced embraced me at sunrise. What happened to the way you took my hand and smiled at me with such warmth in your heart? I thought there could not be a bond as grand as what we shared. My dear, should you depart, my world will shatter. Love can shine once more. Hold me in your arms like you did before! July 8, 2018 for Grens Evergreens # 4 Cilla Black Poetry Contest Inspired by listening again to all three songs: You've Lost that Loving Feeling, You're My World, & Anyone Who Had a Heart
