Half Empty Glass
For every thought and memory that crossed her mind, she took another shot of liquor not wine. A man who seen this woman suffering. Approached her politely and started questioning. Maam is your glass half full or half empty? She slurred back i need more drinking. He took a step closer and took off his hat. Life is how you see it, half full is your glass. Prayers left unheard are just in mind floating words. They never get spoken out loud at home or in church. They are left on the side while he goes down the line Making notes of the ones who spoke up, who werent shy. Ask him to help heal your pain To rescue from a past thats your haunting. Being set free from all rusted chains That hold you down for evil to have its way. Your glass is half full. You can put something in it. Or continue drinking whats left leaving you drained and empty.
